Wow! 100 posts! It definitely doesn’t feel like I have been posting for that long. Looking back, I remember how in the beginning it was mainly just all personal posts. I was still growing my business and slowly getting inquiries for portrait sessions. Recently, I have had the honor of working with so many amazing couples in both their engagements and their weddings. I am truly so blessed! Thank you to all of you for being SO awesome and helping me grow in this wonderful career! I wouldn’t be where I am without the support of all of my lovely fans and readers
Now, onto my post…
I decided to make a trip downtown to write my blog post today. I’ve spent the whole day out of the house- it’s been pretty nice. I got to spend almost 2 days with Wesley at work doing some corporate photos. It was fun. I got to meet a lot of really nice people and it’s nice to be doing photography, even if it’s not my “typical” business. Today is very cloudy. I’m sipping on an “intense dark mocha”coffee. As the name suggests, it is in fact pretty intense. I highly doubt I will be finishing this small cup in one sitting. It’s like I’m drinking a dove dark chocolate bar. But who’s complaining? This week has surprisingly gone by pretty quickly. Last weekend Wesley and I spent some time in the lovely city of San Fran. I think it’s weird to abbreviate it, but I figure if I’m going to pretend to be a local, I can’t keep calling it by it’s full name. I still feel like a tourist in this gorgeous place. We saw lots of pretty sights while we were out, including the Palace of Fine Arts (shown below). It’s a gorgeous roman/greek- inspired piece of architecture, with a large rotunda in the middle of the property. It’s overwhelmingly beautiful when you see it up close.
Other than that excursion, my week has been relatively uneventful. Besides taking a few corporate shots, my week was spent doing valentine’s day shopping (which I LOVE!) and re-watching old episodes of the Hills…(yes, I just admitted to that). But hey, it’s friday!
So, without further adieu… here are my friday favorites.
FF#1 – DIY Pinwheels!!
I looked all week t Michaels and Joanne’s and was very upset when I couldn’t find the appropriate tools for this project. I have been dying to make my own set of pinwheels and my next move is to probably just order my supplies off of Amazon. Once you get everything, it seems pretty simple. If you manage to grab ahold of the tools before I do, send me pictures of how yours turn out! I’d love to see them!

FF#2 – everyday curls via Lauren Conrad
If you read my previous article, you would realize why this is one of my friday favorites. I love how she gives her hair so much more volume, in just a few easy steps. I’m cursed (or blessed - depending on how you look at it) with stick-straight hair. On days when I don’t have a ton of time for styling, it’s great, but I get pretty tired of it after a while. I ventured out into the non-humid California air a few weeks ago with SUPER curly hair. It was fun. I put an emphasis on the “non-humidity” part of that sentence, because that helps it stay curly a lot longer. That curl, however, was after almost 2 hours and a whole bunch of hairspray. I am going to try this style out all next week and see if I can get it right. If so, I see a whole new look that is not only pretty, but also practical!![]()
FF#3 – Lauren Conrad’s website
Okay, okay… I might be a little obsessed with her. In a very healthy way, of course. Her website is pretty entertaining. Not only is it pretty, but it has some fun DIY projects, beauty and health tips, and she also features a “chic of the week” from her blog readers. Fun, huh? I like to think that she is down-to-earth, friendly and fun. I am interested in reading one of her books, but I’m not sure which one I’d like to try. Have you ready any? Did it have a lot of helpful tips and such? I’d love your feedback!

WPPI!!
For those of you that follow me on Facebook (which, btw – if you aren’t you totally should .. just click here and “like”!) you know that I’m attending WPPI this year at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas! I cannot even explain how excited I am! For those that don’t know, this is a workshop for wedding and portrait photographers, held every year in Vegas. Photographers come from ALL over the nation to attend this 5-day information-filled conference. It’s going to be amazing, I already know it. I have been dreaming of going to this since last February, and it’s finally happening! Yay! I am so excited to attend classes with topics ranging from marketing, weddings, technology, portraits and more! There are so many classes to choose from, and I know I’m going to be scrambling taking notes at each one I can attend. One thing I’m bummed about? My dream class is filled. No wonder, it’s taught by Jose Villa. I’m sure it was filled the first day of registration. Here is to praying that someone doesn’t show and I get to stand in and listen. Heck, I would even go in to hold the mic for him… hmm…
Any of my fellow photographers/readers that are going, let me know! I’d LOVE to meet you in person!!

Thanks for reading! Feel free to share with your friends, if you found it entertaining.
Have a very lovely weekend!!
XOXO
